报告题目:A Bayesian approach for identification and assessment of biomarkers predictive of cancer treatment
报告摘要:Identification and assessment of biomarkers which can be used to predict the response of a patient to a specific treatment is a very active research area of health sciences. The significance of the biomarker is usually assessed by a test of interaction between the biomarker and treatment. Many biomarkers are measured on a continuous scale but in clinical practise, it is preferred patients can be classified into two categories such as biomarker positive and negative based on a cutpoint. In this talk, I will present a Bayesian approach my colleagues and I developed recently which can provide statistical inference simultaneously on the cutpoint and biomarker-treatment interaction.
报告人简介:涂冬生,现为加拿大女皇大学(Queen’s University) 数学与统计系(Department of Mathematics and Statistics)和公共健康科学系(Department of Public Health Sciences (formerly Community Health and Epidemiology))终身教授(Tenured Professor),同时也是NCIC Clinical Trials Group (Cancer Clinical Trials Division of Cancer Research Institute)的资深生物统计分析师。在Biometrika、Statistics in Medicine、New England Journal of Medicine等国际主流期刊发表论文164篇,累计引用23,276次,单篇文章最高引用4,339次。合著专著《The Jackknife and Bootstrap》一书,参与专著撰写7部。现任Annals of Statistics、Statistics in Medicine、Canadian Journal of Statistics、Statistica Sinica等期刊审稿人。在2006年荣获International Society for Quality of Life Research Outstanding Article of the Year Award。主持或参与美国NIH、加拿大NSERC等科研基金项目共39项,累积资助经费逾千万加元。
