摘  要:

In this talk, we will first recall Poonen's sieve method for varieties over finite fields. Then we will discuss a new interpolation technique to such sieve, which extends the applicable range of existing sieve methods. As an application, we will talk about how we establish the second term of the counting function of cubic function fields with bounded discriminant.
