报告题目：Scoring Play Combinatorial Games 

Abstract:
     In this talk I will be discussing a new theory for a class of games called scoring play combinatorial games and looking at the general structure of these games under different operators. I will also be looking at the Sprague-Grundy values for scoring play impartial games,and demonstrating that there is an easily computable function that will solve a large range of octal games. I will then discuss the applications of this theory to the game of Go, and showing how we can use
it to help us achieve a much greater understanding of the game. 

报告人简介： 

    Dr. Stewart got his PhD degree from University of Dundee. His main research interests include graph theory and combinatorial game theory . Currently he is a visiting scholar at School of Mathematics and Statistics of XJTU.
