题目：Critical mass for infinite-time blow-up a chemotaxis model with indirect signal production

摘要：This talk addresses the Neumann initial-boundary problem for a chemotaxis system with indirect signal production, which was proposed by Strohm, Tyson and Powell in 2013 to describe the spread and aggregative behavior of the Mountain Pine Bettle (MPB) in a forest habitat. It is shown that this problem exhibits a novel critical mass phenomenon with regard to the formation of singularities, which drastically differs from the well-known threshold property of the classical Keller-Segel system, in that it refers to blow-up in infinite time rather than finite time. The talk is based a joint work with Michael Winkler (Paderborn).

简介：陶有山，上海交通大学数学科学学院特聘教授。曾先后于南京大学(1986)、复旦大学(1992)、苏州大学(1995)获理学学士、硕士和博士学位。主要研究方向为偏微分方程，特别是趋化交叉扩散方程，已在数学期刊 （其中包括：JEMS, PLMS, AIHPC, JFA, SIAP, SIMA, IP, JMB, JNS）上发表论文100余篇，MR引用4500余次；2018-2022年连续5年入选科睿唯安“全球高被引科学家”。现担任国际数学期刊Nonlinear Analysis: RWA和EMS Surveys in Mathematical Sciences (EMSS) 的编委。
