讲座摘要： 

This talk presents a joint work with Byungjae Son on the subject of the non- linear eigenvalue problem. It concerns existence and multiplicity of positive radial solutions of nonlinear or singular elliptic systems in the exterior of a ball in two or higher dimensions under various types of nonlinear terms and boundary conditions. Of particular interest is the problem associated with the p-Laplacian. This type of problems are generalized version of the nonlinear eigenvalue problems for a single equation but the coupled equations impose more difficulties. The proofs rely on lemmas about existence deduced from a fixed-point theorem of the Krasnoselskii type.
