报告题目：Numerical solutions for scattering waves in complex medium

报告摘要：

Elastic and electromagnetic waves are two important kinds of scattering waves. The propagation of these waves in complex medium and its numerical solutions have many significant applications in sciences and engineering. In this talk, we first introduce the hydrodynamic Drude model, describing the propagation of electromagnetic waves in nano-metal material, and the Biot-JKD model, describing the propagation of elastic waves in porous medium. Then, the corresponding accurate numerical models and numerical discretization techniques will be discussed. Finally, we present some important wave solutions to validate both the numerical model and schemes.

报告人简介：

    徐立伟, 电子科技大学数学科学学院教授，博士生导师。1999年和2004年在重庆大学分别获得计算数学学士和硕士学位， 2009年5月于美国特拉华大学数学系获得应用数学博士学位。 2009年8月至2012年6月在美国伦斯勒理工学院数学系担任美国国家科学基金RTG博士后。1999年7月至2005年7月、 2012年7月至2016年8月在重庆大学beat365官方网站工作。2016年9月至今在电子科技大学数学科学学院工作。

    主要研究方向为波动问题数值方法和机器学习数学方法与理论，在SIAM Nume. Anal., Numer. Math., J. Comp. Phys., SIAM Sci. Comp.等应用和计算数学学术刊物上发表论文近50篇。国家级青年人才计划入选者，主持完成国家自然科学基金面上项目和国家自然科学基金重大研发计划重点项目各1项，现主持和参与国家自然科学基金面上项目各1项。

    公共和学术服务包括电子科技大学数学科学学院院长、教育部高等学校数学类专业教学指导委员会委员、中国数学会计算数学分会常务理事兼副秘书长、中国工业与应用数学学会专委会管理和地方学会联络委员会委员、《计算数学》编委等。
